Find the greatest number by which if 76,62 and 41 are divided the remainder is always same .

Open in App
Solution

We have to find Greatest Factor

Step

  1. Find the Differences of numbers
  2. Get the HCF ( that differences)

We have here 76,62 and 41

So differences are

76 - 62 = 14,

76 - 41= 35

62 - 41 = 21

Now

HCF (14, 35and 21)

14 = 2 x 7
35 = 5 x 7
21 = 3 x 7

HCF (14, 35and 21) = 7

so required number is 7
which if 76,62 and 41 are divided the remainder is always same
