Finding the H.C.F

Numbers that have only two factors i.e., 1 and the number itself is called a Prime Number.

Let us consider two prime numbers 5 and 7.

Prime Factorization of 5 and 7,

5=1×57=1×7

We see that both the numbers have only 1 as the common factor.

Hence, H.C.F of two Prime Numbers is always 1.
