Question
Find the HCF and LCM of 344 and 60 by the prime factorisation method
Open in App
Solution
Dear student,
The prime factorsation 344=2×2×2×43=2³×43
60=2×2×3×5=2² ×3×5
∴HCF(344,60)=2²
We know that, LCM(a,b)×HCF(a,b)=a×b
∴LCM(a,b)= (axb) /HCF(a, b)
LCM(344,60)= (344x60)/(2x2)
ā =5160
