HCF full form is Highest Common Factor. The defines the greatest factor present in between given two or more numbers.

The HCF of two consecutive numbers is always one.

The reason behind this is that two consecutive numbers do not have any common factor other than 1.

Example:

Let us take Two consecutive numbers 3 and 4. It can be written as

3=3×14=4×1

The above 1 is the common factor for both values.

Therefore, HCF3,4=1.
