Find the HCF of the following pair of polynomials:
$6 x^{2} - 2 x$ and $9 x^{2} - 3 x$

We know that $H C F$ is the highest common factor.

Factorise $6 x^{2} - 2 x$ as follows:

$6 x^{2} - 2 x = 2 x (3 x - 1)$

Now, factorise $9 x^{2} - 3 x$ as follows:

$9 x^{2} - 3 x = 3 x (3 x - 1)$

Since the common factor between the polynomials $6 x^{2} - 2 x$ and $9 x^{2} - 3 x$ is $x (3 x - 1)$ .

Hence, the $H C F$ is $x (3 x - 1)$ .
