Find the height (in cm) of a cuboid of volume $$100\ cm^{3}$$, whose length and breadth are $$5 \ cm$$ and $$4\ cm$$ respectively.


Solution

Given: Length of cuboid $$(l)=5\space\mathrm{cm}$$
Breadth of cuboid $$(b)=4\space\mathrm{cm}$$
Volume of cuboid $$(V)=100\space\mathrm{cm^3}$$
Let height of cuboid be $$h\space\mathrm{cm}$$.
$$\therefore$$ Volume of cuboid $$=lbh$$
$$\Rightarrow 100=5\times4\times h$$
$$\Rightarrow h=\dfrac{100}{5\times4}$$
$$\Rightarrow h=5$$
So, height of cuboid is $$5\space\mathrm{cm}$$.
