Find the height of the cylinder whose volume if 1.54m3 and diameter of the base is 140cm.

Find the height of the cylinder

We have, volume of cylinder =1.54m3

=1.54×100×100×100cm3[1m=100cm]=1540000cm3

Diameter of base =140cm

Therefore, radius of base =1402cm

=70cm

Suppose, height of the cylinder is h

We know that the volume of the cylinder is πr2h

So, according to the question,

π×702×h=1540000

h=1540000×722×70×70π=227h=100cm

Hence, height of the cylinder is 100cm.
