$6 = 2 \times 3 = 2^{1} \times 3^{1}$
$20 = 2 \times 2 \times 5 = 2^{2} \times 5^{1}$
HCF $=$ Product of smallest power of each common prime factor $= 2^{1} = 2$
LCM $=$ Product of greates power of each prime factor $= 2^{2} \times 3^{1} \times 5^{1} = 60$
