Find the last term of the following sequence 2,3,412 ........ to 6 terms

Open in App
Solution

It is given that the first term of G.P is a1=2 and the second term is a2=3, therefore,

r=a2a1=32

We know that the formula for the nth term of an G.P is Tn=arn1, where a is the first term, r is the common ratio.

It is given that the first term is a=2, number of terms are n=6 and the common ratio is r=32, thus,

T6=2×(32)61=2×(32)5=2×3525=24316

Hence, the last term is24316.
