Since, cosine is a decreasing function, cos(cos(cos x)) is Maximum when cos(cos x) is minimum. cos(cos x) is minimum when cos x is maximum. Maximum value of (cos x) = 1. Minimum value of cos(cos x) = cos(1) Thus, Maxumum Value of cos(cos(cos x)) = cos(cos(1)). Hope it helps :)
