Step 1:
$M e a n = \frac{S u m o f a l l o b s e r v a t i o n}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f o b s e r v a t i o n}$
Sum of all observation = $21 + 23 + 21 + 23 + 21 + 24 + 22 + 20 + 23 = 198$
Total number of observation = $9$
So Mean = $\frac{198}{9} = 22$
Hence the mean of the given data is $22$ .
Step 2 :
The median of a set of data is the middlemost number in the set. To find the median, the data should first be arranged in order from least to greatest
Arranging these scores in an ascending order = $20, 21, 21, 21, 22, 23, 23, 23, 24$
As there are 9 terms in the given data, therefore, the median of this data will be the $\frac{n + 1}{2} t h = \frac{9 + 1}{2} = 5 t h t e r m$
Hence, Median = $5 t h t e r m = 22$
Hence the median of the given data is $22$ .
