The first six even natural numbers are 2,4,6,8,10,12. There are six even numbers. Therefore, N=6. The observations are x1=2,x2=4,x3=6,x4=8,x5=10,x6=12. Hence
x=2+4+6+8+10+12=42
Hence the mean is given by
