(i) 23 (ii) 0

Mean of data = $\frac{S u m o f O b s e r v a t i o n s}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f o b s e r v a t i o n s}$

= $\frac{18 + 33 + 30 + 21 + 13}{5}$

= $\frac{115}{5}$

= 23

Sum of deviation = (18-23) + (33-23) + (30-23) + (21-23) + (13-23)

= (-5) + (10) + (7) + (-2) + (-10)

= 0
