From the figure, AC is a straight line.

$∠$ AOB + $∠$ BOC = 180° (Straight line angle)

$\Rightarrow$ 60° + 3x = 180°
$\Rightarrow$ 3x = 180° - 60° = 120°.

Hence, $∠$ BOC = 120°.
