If it is even then median is the mean of the $(\frac{N}{2}{)}^{th}$ and $(\frac{N}{2}+1{)}^{th}$ term.

Here N = 8 which is an even number.

$\left(\frac{N}{2}\right)=(\frac{8}{2}{)}^{th}\text{term}=4^{th}\text{term}=5$

$(\frac{N}{2}+1{)}^{th}\text{term}=5^{th}\text{term}=6$
$\text{Median}=\frac{(5+6)}{2}$

The value of the median is 5.5
