$\begin{matrix} A g e i n y e a r s & N u m b e r o f p e o p l e & C u m u l a t i v e f r e q u e n c y 15 & 3 & 3 16 & 8 & 11 17 & 10 & 21 18 & 10 & 31 19 & 5 & 36 20 & 4 & 40 \end{matrix}$
The total number of people is 40.
Since it is an even number,
there will be two median terms :
$(\frac{n}{2})^{t h}$ and $(\frac{n}{2} + 1) t h$ terms.
So, the median terms will be the 20th and 21st terms.
Both the 20th and 21st terms are 17.

Therefore, mean of both the terms = 17.
