Let $(x, y)$ be midpoint of $P (3, 4)$ & $Q (5, - 2)$
Midpoint formula for two points $(a, b)$ and $(c, d)$ is
$(x, y)$ = $(\frac{a + c}{2}, \frac{b + d}{2})$ .
$x = \frac{3 + 5}{2} = 4$

$y = \frac{4 - 2}{2} = 1$

$∴$ $(x, y) = (4, 1)$
