Number of pieces required = 120
Let us write 120 as the product of 3 numbers = 1*1*120, 1*2*60, 1*3*40,.....,
We need factors that are closest to each other → 3*5*8, 4*5*6
In case of 4*5*6 → No of cuts = (4-1) + (5-1) + (6-1) = 12
In case of 3*5*8 → No. of cuts = (3-1)+(5-1)+(8-1) = 13
Therefore, minimum number of cuts required = 12
