The correct option is C 8
First term, $a = 1$
Third term, $a_{3} = 15$
we know that, $a_{n} = a + (n - 1) d$
$a_{3} = 1 + (3 - 1) d$
$15 = 1 + 2 d$
$15 - 1 = 2 d; d = 7$
$∴ a_{2} = 1 + (2 - 1) 7$
$= 1 + 7 = 8$
$∴$ The missing number is 8.
