Let λ = ML

If we take a differential element of mass dm and length dx at a distance x from A,

dm = λ dx

r = x sin 60

I = r2 dm = L0 x2sin260λ dx

= λ34L0 x2 dx

= 34MLL33=ML24

= ML24 + ML24 + 34ML2

= 54ML2
