a1=a2=2,an=an13,n>2

Open in App
Solution

Given,
The nth term of the sequence is
an=an13 for n>2.............eq(1)
And
a1=a2=2.....eq(2)

1) For finding the third term of sequence (a3)put n=3 in eq(1)
a3=a313
a3=a23
put value of a2 from eq(2)
a3=23
a3=1.......eq(3)

2) For finding the fourth term of sequence (a4)put n=4 in eq(1)
a4=a413
a4=a33
put value of a3 from eq(3)
a4=13
a4=4....eq(4)

3) For finding the fifth term of sequence (a5)put n=5 in eq(1)
a5=a513
a5=a43
put value of a4 from eq(4)
a5=43
a5=7....eq(5)

4) For finding the sixth term of sequence (a6)put n=6 in eq(1)
a6=a613
a6=a53
put value of a5 from eq(5)
a6=73
a6=10....eq(6)

5)For finding the seventh term of sequence (a7) put n=7 in eq(1)
a7=a713
a7=a63
put value of a6 from eq(6)
a7=103
a7=13......eq(7)
