Question

Find the number of Na+ &PO-34 ions kind 250 ml of 0.2 M Na3PO4 solution.

Open in App
Solution

We know,
M*V =moles (where M is mass and V is volume)
For Na molecules,
(250/1000)*(0.2)*(3) =0.15 [multiplying by 3 because there are 3 ions of Na]
For phosphate ion,
(250/1000)*(0.2) = 0.05
Now to convert it into no of ions multiply both the answers by avogadro's number
