The correct option is D

When cos $y = c o s x$ , solution of the equation is

$y = 2 n π \pm x$

So, $c o s y = c o s x$ , represents two sets of straight lines;

$y = x + 2 n π; n ϵ z$

$= - x + 2 n π; n ϵ z$

Graph of $c o s y = c o s x$

i.e. two infinite set of perpendicular straight lines which could be shown in the figure.

Thus, graph for cos $y = c o s x$ ; represents two perpendicular straight lines which have infinite number of points of intersection; so, number of solutions are infinite
