The correct option is A pulmonary artery
Pulmonary artery arises from the pulmonary trunk that carries deoxygenated blood pumped out from the right ventricle. The pulmonary trunk is divided into right and left pulmonary arteries which supplies deoxygenated blood to the right and left lungs respectively. The gaseous exchange takes place in the lungs, and then the oxygenated blood is carried by pulmonary veins to the left atrium of the heart. Pulmonary arteries are the exception among all the arteries as they carry deoxygenated blood. All other arteries carry oxygenated blood.
Carotid arteries supply oxygenated blood to the parts of head and neck. Coronary arteries supply oxygenated blood to the heart muscles. Renal arteries carry oxygenated blood to the kidneys.
