Spirogyra, Ulothrix, Volvox
Volvox
Spirogyra, Ulothrix and Volvox are examples of green algae. They contain chlorophyll and are mostly found in fresh water. They are the major source of food for organisms living in water which cannot make their own food. But the difference between these three is that Spirogyra and Ulothrix, are filamentous in shape whereas Volvox forms spherical colonies of up to 50,000 cells.
