x + 1(+6) + 4(-2) = 0
x + 6 – 8 = 0
x – 2 = 0
x = +2

c. N in HNO3
1(H) + 1 (N) +3(0) =0
1 (+1) + 1 (x) + 3 (-2) =0
+ 1 + x – 6 =0
x – 5 =0
x = +5
