Let (x, 0) be the point on the x-axis. Then as per the question, we have
x-22+0+52=x+22+0-92x-22+52=x+22+-92x-22+52=x+22+-92 Squaring both sidesx2-4x+4+25=x2+4x+4+81
8x=25-81x=-568=-7
Hence, the point on the x-axis is (− 7, 0).
