If (x, y) divides the join of (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) in the ratio m:n

Then, x=mx2+nx1m+n and y=my2+ny1m+n

Here, x1=3, x2=7, y1=6, y2=10, m=3 and n=1.

x=3×7+1×33+1 and y=3×10+1×63+1

x=6 and y=9

Therefore, the point is (6,9).
