Trisection means dividing a line segment in three equal parts or dividing a line segment in the ratio 1:2 and 2:1

Given points: x1=3,x2=3,y1=2,y2=4

CASE :- 1

m:n=1:2

=(mx2+nx1m+n,my2+ny1m+n)

=(1(3)+(3)2+1,1(4)+2(2)2+1)

=(3+63,443)

=(1,83)

CASE :- 2

m:n=2:1

=(mx2+nx1m+n,my2+ny1m+n)

=(2(3)+1(3)2+1,2(4)+1(2)2+1)

=(6+33,823)

=(33,103)


=(1,103)
