Reaction $1$ with reagent $B_{2} H_{6} - T H F$ gives $B H_{2}$ substitution further gives - diol.
Work of $T H F$ is to cut the $B_{2} H_{6}$ in single $B H_{3}$
Reaction $2$ with reagent $H_{2} O_{2} / N a O H$ gives dio substitution reactions.
Both reactions are direct hydration of alkenes.
