520 m2


Length = 10 m
Breadth = 8 m
Height = 10 m
It is given that all the faces have to be painted and the paint is assumed to have negligible thickness.
Therefore, we have to paint all the 6 faces of the room.
Hence, we have to apply the formula of total surface area.
Amount of paint required = 2 (lb + bh + lh)
= 2 (10x8 + 8x10 + 10x10)
= 2 (80 + 80 + 100)
= 520 m2
