Hence, the required quotient is $24$ and remainder is $1$

Step 2: Verification

$$\begin{gathered} \text{Dividend}=\left(\text{Divisor × Quotient}\right)+\text{Remainder} \\ \Rightarrow 49=\left(2\times 24\right)+1 \\ \Rightarrow 49=48+1 \\ \Rightarrow 49=49 \end{gathered}$$
