Solution

Step 1: Steps for division

1 : Divide 610 by 10, i.e, 610÷10

6÷10, which can not be divided

0 is the multiple of 10,which is smaller than 6

Write 0 in hundreds place of quotient and write the product 0 below the hundreds place of dividend, 6-0=6

2 : Bring down 1 along with remainder 6

61÷10, which can not be divided

60 is the multiple of 10,which is smaller than 61

Write 6 in tens place of quotient and write the product 60 below the tens place of dividend, 61-60=1

3 : Bring down 0 along with remainder 1

10÷10=1,

Write 1 in ones place of quotient and write the product 10 below the ones place of dividend, 10-10=10

we get,

HTO06110610-061-6010-100

Hence, the required quotient is 61 and remainder is 0

Step 2: Verification

Dividend=Divisor×Quotient+Remainder610=10×61+0610=610+0610=610

Hence, the result is verified.
