Solution

Step 1: Steps for division

1 : Divide 950 by 10, i.e, 950÷10

9÷10, which can not be divided

0 is the multiple of 10,which is smaller than 9

Write 0 in hundreds place of quotient and write the product 0 below the hundreds place of dividend, 9-0=9

2 : Bring down 5 along with remainder 9

95÷10, which can not be divided

90 is the multiple of 10,which is smaller than 95

Write 9 in tens place of quotient and write the product 90 below the tens place of dividend, 95-90=5

3 : Bring down 0 along with remainder 5

50÷10=5,

Write 5 in ones place of quotient and write the product 50 below the ones place of dividend, 50-50=0

we get,

HTO09510950-095-9050-500

Hence, the required quotient is 95 and remainder is 0

Step 2: Verification

Dividend=Divisor×Quotient+Remainder950=10×95+0950=950+0950=950

Hence, the result is verified.
