Solution

Step 1 : Solve Division:

1 : Divide 3 hundreds by 10

3÷10, which can not be divided

0 is the multiple of 10 , which less than 3

Write 0 in hundreds place of the quotient and write the product 0, below the dividend in the hundreds place. 3-0=3

2: Bring down 4, along with the remainder 3

34÷10, which can not be divided

30 is the multiple of 10 , which less than 34

Write 3 in tens place of the quotient and write the product 30, below the dividend in the tens place. 34-30=4

3: Bring down 5, along with the remainder 4

45÷10, which can not be divided

40 is the multiple of 10 , which less than 45

Write 4 in ones place of the quotient and write the product 40, below the dividend in the ones place. 45-40=5

So, we get

HTO03410345-034-3045-405

Hence, the required quotient is 34 and the remainder is 5

Step 2 : Verification:

Dividend=Divisor×Quotient+Remainder345=10×34+5345=340+5345=345

Hence, it is verified.
