Find the radius and area of the circle if its circumference is 11m.

Step 1 Finding the radius of the circle:

Given the circumference of the circle=11m.

2πr=1762×227×r=11r=11×722×2r=74r=1.75m.

Hence the radius of the circle is 1.75m.

Step 2 Finding the area of the circle:

Area of the circle=πr2sq.units(ristheradiusofthecircle)

=227×1.75×1.75=22×0.25×1.75=9.625m2.

Hence, The area of the circle is 9.625m2.
