Question

Find the radius of nucleus of an atom having atomic mass number equal to 125. (Take R0 = 1.3×1015m)

Open in App
Solution

The formula for calculating radius of nucleus
R=R0×A(1/3)
where A =atomic mass
R=(1.3×1015)(125)(1/3)
=1.3×1015×5
R=6.5×1015m
Therefore,theradiusofnucleusofanatomis6.5×1015.
