Solution

The correct option is B 10%
P=Rs.2,00,000
Number of conversion period (n)=112×2=3
Amount(A)3=Rs.2,31,525
We know that
A3=P(1+i)3
2,31,525=2,00,000(1+i)3
2,31,525/2,00,000=(1+i)3
1.157625=(1+i)3
(1.05)3=(1+i)3
i=0.05
i is the Interest rate per conversion period (six months) =0.05=5% and Interest rate per annum =5% ×2=10%.
