Solution

Ratio by mass of the following compounds given below :
1) CaCO3 :
Molar mass of calcium = 40 g
Molar mass of oxygen = 16 g
Molar mass of carbon = 12 g
Hence , ratio by mass will be = 40 : 12 : 48 = 10 : 3 : 12

2) MgCl2 :
Molar mass of magnesium = 12 g
Molar mass of chlorine = 35.5 g
Hence , ratio by mass will be = 12 : 71

3) H2SO4 :
Molar mass of hydrogen = 1 g
Molar mass of sulphur = 32 g
Molar mass of oxygen = 16 g
Hence , ratio by mass = 2 : 32 : 64 = 1 : 16 : 32

4) C2H5OH :
Ratio by mass = 24 : 6 : 16 = 12 : 3 : 8

5) NH3 :
Molar mass of nitrogen = 14 g
Ratio by mass = 14 : 3

6) Ca(OH) 2 :
Ratio by mass = 40 : 32 : 2 = 20 : 16 : 1
