Solution

Point dividing a line in the ratio 1:m formed by joining (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by
x = fraction numerator m x subscript 1 plus x subscript 2 over denominator 1 plus m end fraction y = fraction numerator m y subscript 1 plus y subscript 2 over denominator 1 plus m end fraction

Let the point on y axis be (0,y)
0 equals fraction numerator 5 m minus 1 over denominator 1 plus m end fraction m equals 1 fifth

So y axis divides the line in the ratio of 5:1.

y equals fraction numerator negative 6 m minus 4 over denominator 1 plus m end fraction equals fraction numerator negative 6 left parenthesis begin display style 1 fifth end style right parenthesis minus 4 over denominator 1 plus begin display style 1 fifth end style end fraction equals fraction numerator begin display style fraction numerator negative 6 over denominator 5 end fraction end style minus 4 over denominator begin display style 6 over 5 end style end fraction equals fraction numerator begin display style bevelled fraction numerator negative 26 over denominator 5 end fraction end style over denominator begin display style bevelled 6 over 5 end style end fraction equals fraction numerator negative 13 over denominator 3 end fraction
Hence, the point of division is (0,133).
