Finding the ratio:
First, we will make the units same. We know that $1$ litre= $1000$ ml
So, $2$ litre $= 2 \times 1000 = 2000$ ml
Ratio $= 500 : 2000$ (but it is not in the simplest form now we convert it into the simplest form by dividing it by HCF)
HCF $(500, 2000) = 500$
So $\frac{500 \div 500}{2000 \div 500} = \frac{1}{4}$
Hence, the ratio is $1 : 4$ .
