Let the tension be "T" in the string. Considering the larger block having mass 3kg,
$3 g + \frac{3 g}{10} - T - 3 a = 0$ -------- (1)
For the smaller block having ass 1.5 kg,
$T - 1.5 g - \frac{1.5 g}{10} - 1.5 a = 0$ ------- (2)

Solving (1) and (2), $T = \frac{11}{5} g$
Since the string is attached in the pulley from both side suspended with mass.
Therefore, tension is $2 T = \frac{22}{5} g$

So, reading in the spring is, $\frac{(\frac{22 g}{5})}{g}$
= 4.4N
