Total number of eggs $= 47$
Number of friends $= 5$
Number of eggs each friend got = Total number of eggs $\div$ Number of friends
$= 47 \div 5$
Let's divide it by long divison method.
Number of eggs each friend got $= 9$
Remainder $= 2$
As remainder is 2, Jack is left with $2$ eggs.
