Find the roots of the following equation using factorisation method.
$x^{2} - 5 x - 6 = 0$

$x^{2} - 5 x - 6 = 0$
$a = 1, b = - 5, c = - 6$ .
$x = \frac{- b \pm \sqrt{b^{2} - 4 a c}}{2 a}$

$x = \frac{5 \pm \sqrt{25 + 24}}{2}$
Either $x = \frac{5 \pm 7}{2}$ OR $x = \frac{5 - 7}{2}$
$∴ x = 6 ∴ x = - 1$
