Given quadratic equation: x23x+2=0

We need to find two numbers such that their sum is -3 and their product is 2.

These numbers are 2 and 1 .
So, rewriting the equation as

x23x+2=0

x22xx+2=0

x(x2)1(x2)=0

(x1)(x2)=0

x=1 or x=2
