Find the roots of the quadratic equations given in Q.1 above by applying the quadratic formula.

$\left(i\right)2x^2-7x+3=0$
On comparing this equation with $a{x}^2+bx+c=0$, we get
a = 2, b = -7 and c = 3
By using quadratic formula, we get
$x=\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$
$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{7\pm \sqrt{7^2-4\times 2\times 3}}{2\times 2}$
$\Rightarrow$ $x=\frac{7\pm \sqrt{2}5}{4}$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{7\pm 5}{4}$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{7+5}{4}orx=\frac{7-5}{4}$
$\Rightarrow x=\frac{12}{4}or\frac{2}{4}$
$\therefore x=3or\frac{1}{2}$
