Open in App
Solution

The two given points are P( x 1 , y 1 , z 1 ) and Q( x 2 , y 2 , z 2 ).

Let, the line joining points P and Q be PQ .

PQ =( x 2 x 1 ) i ^ +( y 2 y 1 ) j ^ +( z 2 z 1 ) k ^

The scalar components of the line PQ are,

( x 2 x 1 ),( y 2 y 1 ),( z 2 z 1 )

The magnitude of line PQ is,

| PQ |= ( x 2 x 1 ) 2 + ( y 2 y 1 ) 2 + ( z 2 z 1 ) 2 .
