distance of P from L1 is ax1+by1+ca2+b2

distance of P from L2 is ∣ ∣px1+qy1+rp2+q2∣ ∣

Let the constant sum between these distances be K

The locus of the points is given by ax+by+ca2+b2+∣ ∣px+qy+rp2+q2∣ ∣=K
