The correct option is D 5 only
Given, xx+1+8x2=3(x+1)(x2)
Cross multiplying
(x2)x+8(x+1)(x+1)(x2)=3(x+1)(x2)
x22x+8x+8=3
x2+6x+5=0
On factoring, we get
x2+x+5x+5
=x(x+1)+x(x+1)
x+1=0,x+5=0
x=1 and 5.
x=1 not in domain of equation so ans is only 5
