Mid point of the line joining P(0, -4)

and Q(8, 0) is $(\frac{0+8}{2},\frac{-4+0}{2})$ i.e. (4, -2)

Since the line passes through points (0, 0) and (4, -2),

$\therefore$ Slope of the line $=\frac{-2-0}{4-0}=\frac{-2}{4}=\frac{-1}{2}$.
